Atelier Moldproject is a studio established in 2005 by a group of young architects. The group has constantly experimented to establish a system that incorporates flexibility in its project characteristics unlike conservative architectural design firms. The studio aims to create spaces that respond to their original contexts, and which would last longer than mere abstract forms. Our search for architectural solutions and tools is based on our interest in a city's history, culture, and art. Having a preference for a careful intervention and a modest daily environment, Moldproject has an interest in creating new atmospheres through the development of sophisticated ideas.
몰드프로젝트는 2005년 젊은 건축인이 만든 스튜디오의 명칭이다. 보수적이며 경직된 기존의 설계사무소의 운영방식과는 달리 프로젝트의 성격에 따라 유연하게 대처하는 시스템을 구축하기 위해 지속적으로 실험중이다. 외피를 통한 추상적인 표현보다는 장소에서 유래되고 오래도록 감응을 주는 건축물을 추구하고 있다. 도시의 역사, 문화, 예술에 대한 관심과 고민을 통해 건축적 해법과 장치를 찾으려 하고 있다. 사이트에 조심스럽게 개입하여 겸손한 자세로 일상적인 건축을 추구하고 있으며, 섬세한 과정을 통하여 건축물의 특성과 분위기가 만들어지는 것에 큰 관심을 갖고 있다.
